Newest Headband

First off, I think I have a headband fetish. My hair doesn't always want to cooperate in the mornings so headbands have become my best friend!
I really had no idea what I was going to make. I planned on just trying out a technique I saw online. So, to start out I took a scrap of fabric, circle of felt and and my hot glue gun.

I then started twisting the fabric around in a circle and hot gluing it as I went...this technique is all over the internet. Normally you would cut off the extra felt, but I kind of liked the look so I left it.

As soon as I saw this I thought I should put it on a headband. I dug through my drawer of headbands and found this ugly yellow one I never wear. It came in a three pack from Forever21. I hot glued another piece of felt to the back to hold it in place.

This was the original look I had, but I didn't like how it was kind of blah in the middle.

I broke my favorite necklace a few weeks back so I took some of the pearls from it and hot glued them into the middle.

I tried to take a picture of myself in the mirror to show you what it looked like on an actual head...

Finally...a better shot!

It's kind of hard for me to estimate a total cost on this project since I already had all of the supplies; however, if I had to estimate I would say:

Headband    $0.40
Felt              $0.05
Fabric          $0.10
Pearls          $0.20
Hot Glue      $0.50
Total:          $1.25
