Shabby Chic Mirror

A few weeks ago I was strolling through GoodWill and came across this awesome mirror for only $8.00.

This mirror was already a beauty "as is"--minus the dust, but gold just isn't really my style. I have nothing to match it, so I decided to paint it.

Remember the post where I told you about the Free Valspar Paint? Well I finally got mine in and LOVE the color (It's the color on the very top of the swatch)!

{picture taken with iPhone}

I was unable to contain my excitement...I removed the mirror and backing and got to painting!!

{Yes, it is on a trash bag! It was the only thing I had and was FREE.}

After the paint dried I put the glass back in....

This is MUCH more my style!!!

Now I just need to decide where to put it...hmm.

Total Estimated Costs

Mirror          $8.00
Paint            FREE
Trash bag    FREE
Paint Brush FREE

Total Costs:  $8.00

  3. It's gorgeous! What a find! It looks a lot like my bathroom mirror which was the same thing (horrible gold) and is now a bright turquoisy blue. Although I didn't do a post with before pics you can see it here.
